Rosebud Tutorial
The rings that come with your kit.
Blue rings are the petals and orange rings are the connector rings.
4 small
16 medium
8 large
20 connector rings
Step 1
Make a chain 2-1-2-1-2-1-2.
Use medium sized rings for the doubled rings and connector rings for the single rings.
Step 2
Connect the two ends of the chain with another connector ring so it looks like the picture.
Step 3
Take a ring (shown in light blue) and pass it between two sets of the medium rings and around the connector ring.
Step 4
This new ring should sit sandwiched between 4 medium rings and around a connector ring but not go through any of them.
Step 5
Add 3 more medium rings in the same way around the 3 other connector rings.
Step 6
Take a connector ring (shown in silver) passing through a doubled medium ring and connect 2 of the medium rings you just added.
This ring should be placed to the outside of the other connector rings as shown.
Step 7
Repeat this for the other three intersections as shown.
You are adding 4 rings for each layer, it maybe helpful to see them as squares making sure each of the 4 are connected in the same way for each layer.
Step 8
Add a small ring (in light blue) through 2 of the connector rings that you just added.
Step 9
Repeat this for the other 3 intersections and then pull the new rings in toward the center to start making the rosebud form.
Pulling the rings up and toward the center will help them seat correctly.
Step 10
Flip the rose over and add 4 connector rings (shown in silver) going through the doubled medium rings just as in steps 6 and 7 except this time the new rings go toward the inside of the other connector rings.
Step 11
Add 4 medium rings(light blue ) to the connector rings(silver).
Step 12
Add 4 connector rings as in step 10.
Step 13
Add 4 large rings(light blue) to the connector rings(silver).
Step 14
Now add 4 connector rings through the 4 large rings you just added connecting the medium rings below.
Step 15
And the final 4 large rings through the connector rings.
Step 16
Flip the rosebud back over and admire your handywork.
Congratulations! You did it!
Put it on a chain, a stick, a pin, or any other way you wish to display your rose. Weave several and make a rose garden. Let your imagination run wild.
